O pulchritudinous and radiant face,
That doth outshine the candles of the night,
Thy beauty needs no ornament nor lace,
For nature dressed thee in her purest light.
The rose doth blush to see thy cheek's soft hue,
The stars grow dim before thine eyes' bright fire,
And every word thou speak'st, so sweet and true,
Doth stir within my breast a deep desire.
Yet beauty fades as summer turns to fall,
And time, that thief, shall dim the fairest face;
But in my verse thy loveliness stands tall,
Eternal, past the reach of years' erase.
So long as breath and ink shall find their way,
Thy pulchritude shall never know decay.
Captured in verse forever
Where love transcends time
